IO Detailing Refund & Service Policy

IO Detailing provides mobile auto detailing services in Lumby, Vernon, and surrounding BC areas. Because detailing is a labour-based service, refunds are not typically offered once a service has been completed. We do, however, stand behind our work and will review service concerns fairly.
Service Satisfaction Guarantee
If you are unsatisfied with your detailing service, please contact IO Detailing within 24 hours of service completion so we can review the concern.
When contacting us, please include:
- Your name
- Appointment/service details
- A clear description of the concern
- Supporting photos, if applicable
Depending on the situation, IO Detailing may offer a service correction, partial adjustment, reschedule, or refund on a case-by-case basis.
Refund Eligibility
A refund may be considered if:
- A service quality issue is reported within 24 hours and cannot be reasonably corrected.
- IO Detailing cancels an appointment and a suitable reschedule cannot be arranged.
- A payment or deposit was collected for a service that IO Detailing is unable to complete.
Refunds are generally not provided for:
- Completed services where no concern is reported within 24 hours.
- Pre-existing vehicle damage or defects.
- Stains, odours, scratches, oxidation, paint damage, or contamination that cannot be fully removed.
- Missed appointments or unavailable vehicles.
- Customer cancellation after the allowed notice period.
Rescheduling & Cancellations
Appointments may be rescheduled at no charge with at least 24 hours’ notice.
Same-day cancellations may be subject to a $25–$50 cancellation fee, depending on the service booked.
No-shows or unavailable vehicles may be charged up to the full booked service amount.
IO Detailing may reschedule appointments due to weather, unsafe working conditions, vehicle access issues, equipment issues, or lack of required water/electricity access.
Damage & Liability
IO Detailing takes care when working on each vehicle, but we are not responsible for pre-existing damage, including but not limited to:
- Paint imperfections
- Rust
- Oxidation
- Scratches
- Failing clear coat
- Loose trim
- Fragile interior components
- Prior stains or odours
- Existing wear and tear
Some pre-existing defects may become more visible after cleaning.
If you believe damage occurred during service, please contact us within 24 hours with supporting photos so we can review the situation.
