IO Detailing Terms of Service

This website is operated by IO Detailing. By accessing this website, contacting us, booking a service, or purchasing a service, you agree to the terms below.

IO Detailing provides mobile auto detailing services in Lumby, Vernon, and surrounding BC areas. Our services are provided in person at the customer’s vehicle location.

1. Services

IO Detailing offers mobile vehicle detailing services, including exterior washes, interior detailing, wash and wax packages, and full detail packages.

Service descriptions, prices, availability, and package inclusions may change at any time. Final service results may vary depending on vehicle condition, age, prior maintenance, weather, access to water/electricity, and the condition of the paint, fabric, carpets, plastics, and trim.

2. Booking & Customer Responsibilities

Appointments must be booked in advance.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate:

  • Contact information
  • Vehicle details
  • Service location
  • Appointment information
  • Any relevant vehicle condition concerns

The vehicle must be accessible, parked safely, and located somewhere detailing is allowed.

Unless IO Detailing confirms otherwise before the appointment, customers must provide access to:

  • Water
  • Electricity
  • Enough space to safely work around the vehicle

Customers should remove valuables, personal items, garbage, child seats, and important belongings before the appointment. IO Detailing is not responsible for lost or damaged personal items left inside the vehicle.

3. Cancellations & Rescheduling

Appointments may be rescheduled at no charge with at least 24 hours’ notice.

Same-day cancellations may be subject to a $25–$50 cancellation fee, depending on the service booked.

No-shows, unavailable vehicles, locked vehicles, unsafe locations, or lack of required access may result in the appointment being shortened, rescheduled, or charged up to the full booked service amount.

IO Detailing may reschedule appointments due to weather, unsafe working conditions, equipment issues, vehicle access issues, or lack of required water/electricity access.

4. Refunds

Refunds are not typically provided once a service has been completed.

If you are unsatisfied with your service, you must contact IO Detailing within 24 hours of service completion so we can review the concern.

Refunds, corrections, partial adjustments, or reschedules may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis under our Refund Policy.

5. Vehicle Condition & Liability

IO Detailing takes care when working on every vehicle. However, we are not responsible for pre-existing damage or conditions, including but not limited to:

  • Scratches
  • Paint chips
  • Rust
  • Oxidation
  • Failing clear coat
  • Loose trim
  • Fragile interior components
  • Worn carpets or upholstery
  • Prior stains
  • Odours
  • Pet hair
  • Existing wear and tear

Some pre-existing defects may become more visible after cleaning.

IO Detailing does not guarantee permanent results. Some stains, odours, scratches, contamination, or paint defects may not be fully removable.

If you believe damage occurred during service, you must contact IO Detailing within 24 hours with supporting photos so the situation can be reviewed.

6. Website Use

You agree not to use this website or our services for unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, or unauthorized purposes.

You may not:

  • Interfere with the operation or security of the website
  • Attempt to access systems you are not authorized to access
  • Submit false booking or contact information
  • Use the website to send spam, malware, or harmful content
  • Copy, reproduce, or resell IO Detailing content or services without written permission

7. Service Refusal

IO Detailing reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or reschedule service if:

  • The work area is unsafe
  • The vehicle is not accessible
  • Required water/electricity access is unavailable
  • The customer provides inaccurate information
  • The requested service is outside our service area or ability
  • The customer acts abusively or inappropriately
  • Weather or conditions would prevent safe or quality service

8. Third-Party Tools & Links

This website may use third-party tools, including Shopify, booking tools, payment processors, analytics tools, or external links.

IO Detailing is not responsible for third-party websites, platforms, outages, policies, payment processing issues, or services outside our control.

9. Privacy

Your personal information is handled according to our Privacy Policy.

By using this website or booking a service, you agree that IO Detailing may use your contact and booking information to communicate about appointments, services, payments, rescheduling, and customer support.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, IO Detailing is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of use, lost profits, missed appointments, or inconvenience.

Nothing in these terms limits liability where it cannot legally be limited.

11. Changes to Terms

IO Detailing may update these Terms of Service at any time. The most current version will be posted on this page.

Continued use of the website or services after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and applicable laws of Canada.
